Volunteer Opportunities at PCYS
Volunteers and donations are essential to the success of PCYS and are greatly appreciated. Donations of cash, gift certificates, supplies, household supplies, equipment, and items for youth and their families are an important way to support the services of PCYS. Donations are tax-deductible as allowed by the IRS Code. Volunteer opportunities include assisting with maintenance and repair projects at both the shelter and office locations and include gardening, landscaping, painting, window washing, and assistance with special projects. Special projects include redecorating of rooms at the shelter, providing activities and outings for shelter residents and/or group participants, landscaping, and others.
Fundraising and public awareness opportunities are available for groups and individuals.
Internships and work study options at both the shelter and office locations are available and are considered on a case-by-case basis.
Certain volunteer options require a background check and completion of volunteer application form. Groups and individuals may volunteer and are considered on a case-by-case basis.
