Our History
Payne County Youth Services was established to provide programming for children, youth and families. Originally mandated to provide counseling in schools and establish an emergency youth shelter, PCYS has grown to be a respected and well-known resource for children, youth and families focusing on the Payne, Noble, and Pawnee Counties, and serving across the state of Oklahoma.
PCYS is a private, non-profit, 501(C)3 agency serving children, youth, young adults, and families who may be struggling with a variety of issues. All services are free of charge to the recipient and their family. SoonerCare is not required.

We provide culturally competent services for you
Program services include individual, family, crisis intervention, and group counseling for both mental health and substance abuse issues. Intervention, prevention, and diversion services include emotions management, the First Offender/Skills for Success program, parenting education, substance abuse group psycho educational program, Victims of Crime (VOCA) counseling and advocacy services, Safe Place program, Building a Competent Community for Suicide Prevention, Life Skills, Advocacy, Transitional Living, Community At-Risk (CARS) counseling, and emergency sheltering for youth. All services, including LGBTQ+ services, are provided in an affirming and positive youth development manner. We proudly serve the LGBTQ+ community.

Youth Guidance Specialist:
Are you a self-motivated, caring individual with a passion to work with youth? We are looking for you!
Payne County Youth Services is seeking a Part-Time Overnight Youth Guidance Specialist. Must be self-motivated, dedicated to the privacy of confidential information, and working as a member of a team in a dynamic, professional organization. Must have basic knowledge of principles and practices of child guidance and training, familiar with the behavioral challenges associated with dependent or delinquent youth, familiar with methods and practices of household management, simple health and safety precautions, first aid methods, and techniques in supervising children and youth. Specific training will be provided. Written and oral communication skills are a must.
